Today has been so fricking hot! I don't have to tell you, you know it too. Our electricity was out for about 1 hour day, a tree fell down on a line on McIntosh Road. Just in that short of time, the temperature in the house got up to 84. I know 84 isn't really that hot but, in 1 hour that was a significant amount, that shows how hot it was. Pray for some relief in this weather and some rain! I hate having to stay inside all the time, I like to get out in the evenings, but it has been too hot for that!
With this heat, Richard has been working allot, I do miss him not being here, especially in the evenings. The boys don't know what to do with out him here either, so instead they get to fussing with each other, then I have to break that up! KIDS!!!
I had to go to the library today and take back some books and check out some new ones. I found a new author (new to me) Nancy Thayer. I checked out An Act of Love, & Custody. She also had this line of books called The Hot Flash Club, has anyone read any of these? I thought if I get a list of the books by date they were released we could read them together!
I also found a cool book on some of St. Mary's poorest Black families in the 40's and how with a grant from the government helped them get by. It also talked about how when the Navel Base came in 1942, that land was owned by black families and they were forced off for the base. It was pretty interesting because it had allot of pictures of the families houses inside and out. They were taken by a government worker hired to document what kind of families need help in Southern Maryland at the time. I can't wait to show my Dad this book, because I will bet he will tell me their homes they lived in were not much better. It gives me a better image of how poor people were, and how far St. Mary's have come in the last 50 years. It is something to think, our children will never know what life was before computers, cell phones, Ipods, and all the other forms of convenience and entertainment. It is amazing!
Oh, My puter is still down, I need professional help big time!! No, I really need a scrapping vacation!!! Wouldn't that be nice??? Angela dropped a note from her vacation in sunny Florida with Mike, she says she is having a great time and she misses us all! We miss her too!!! Have fun girl!!
Okay I have to go now I have a busy day tomorow, I have lots to do!! Love you-Mean it!

there is my blog name i havent written much on it yet cuz im not to sure about it. and i could to live with out a cell phone and that other technology lol i did it as a kid.... O.o
