First of all the spell checker on here is broken so until eblog gets the bug fixed you will have to read what a bad speller writes! So you have been warned!!!!
As alot of you know we burn a wood stove, with oil being over 3 bucks a gallon, and all....... It's very expensive to heat with oil, hell everything is exspensive to heat with these days! Anyway, it was very warm here friday and I let the wood stove go out, and our furnace is set to come on automactically if the temp goes under 70 degrees. Well Saturday morning about 330 am the furnace kicked on. We had not ran the furnace all year. Well the chimmney was clogged when the exhast tried to go up the chimmey, it came back down threw the wood stove and blew all the exhast threw the stove, which pushed ash and suit all over the place. With the furance running the whole time, the return vent picked up all the ash and suit and deposit threw out the whole house! Everything is covered in suit, just like a house fire, but thanks God without the smell. My son Ben, woke us up at 7:30 the house was all smokey you could hardly even see, once you got on the second level it was harder, and in the basement was the worst! Pitch Black! We slept threw it all, it had no smell at all, none. We had black smut under our noses where we were breathing it in. Thank God everyone was okay.
Now the clean up begins, and what a huge, enromous, mess. I mean a big one. Everything has to be washed, all the curtains, clothes, dishes, walls, furnture, carpet, just EVERYTHING!!!!! We have been working on this very hard, and have completely closed the basement off. We are just trying to get the upstairs and the first level cleaned. Richard has taken off the whole week to help, the boys are also here most of the time to help out.
I just dread going in the basement, all my scrapbooking stuff!!!!! I could cry out loud!!!
So that is it for right now, it has been a very stressed filled week, but we will get through this I know!! Until later!! Love Ya-Mean it!!!!
It starts here!!!
