I wanted to post you this picture of a young eagle I photograph in December. I think it is a female, due to the fact that she was on the small side. I got this shot on May Pole Rode, for those of you who are familiar with our county. This past fall I have seen so many eagles! I have seen more in the last few months than I have seen my whole life. I guess it could mean a couple of things, that the eagle population is indeed getting larger and the eagles as well as other wild life has to get use to us taking over their forest. I know here where I live land is being eaten away everyday. So it is natural that we are going to see more animals in our back yards as we have now taken over their back yards. Hopefully we will all thrive together peacefully. I enjoy watching birds, and spotting the different species as I drive along. The other day an owl flew right in front of my truck, I just wish I could of followed him along and saw what he was up to.
That reminds me, this past week I was in Ocean City, Maryland with my sisters. We went down to the Inlet around 10:30pm, well, we saw the weirdest thing. Sea Gulls about 5000 of them were all out in the water in the inlet. The tide would ride them down to the ocean and as soon as the water started to get rough, they would fly back up to the begging of the inlet and ride it back out again. They would do this over and over again. It was like a 4 minute carnival ride. It was crazy, I thought maybe they were feeding out there on something but they were not eating, they were just going for their ride. I have never seen anything like that before. I guess they knew what they were up to... just wish I did too!!
The next time I post I hope to have a picture up of us in Ocean city so stay turned. Until then LOVE-MEAN-IT!!!!
It starts here!!!
